What was life like before the Steel plow?

 

Before John Deere invented the steel plow life was very hard and frusterating for farmers.Before the steel plow farmers had to use the wood plow and it broke all the time and didn't break the soil up good enough to plant crops and when it did break the soil  the dirt got stuck on the plow.When the wood plow was still around the farmers did not make as much money because they couldn't produce as many crops.
